Synthetic Grass Installation
Tuff Turf 'N' Co make it very easy for DIY / landscape gardeners, delivering the desired grass, sand, glue and tape granules to your doorstep for easy installation.
Alternatively we can provide the full service, including synthetic grass installation by ourselves or recommend other quality installers.
Here are some instructions to help you out if you choose to install the synthetic grass yourself:
Excavate the existing area so it's smooth and clear.
Lay 60mm (minimum) of a fine crushed rock base and compact with vibrating plate. Adding water creates a firmer base.
Lay synthetic grass out from one edge and roll out. Make sure fibres run in the same direction. Roll width is 3.75 metres.
Cut any overhanging fake grass around the edges. Where the seams join, lift up and use seaming tape to glue both edges, for the entire length of role.
Lay artificial grass out from one edge and roll out. Make sure fibres run in the same direction. Roll width is 3.7 metres.
Top dress the fake grass with a fine, dry, washed sand, or combination of sand and rubber granules, to 20mm or 50% of grass height. Use a broom to brush in evenly to stand the grass up.
